  1. Hi. Here are the videos from this past weekend. Stephanie and Tom came up to New York Saturday 11/5 and Sunday 11/6/22 to work on Lesson 3, first with dowel then with dumbbell. I think we have decided to just use both collars chain and flat with my small nail on top of the leather part of her ear as correction until her ear infection goes away and Sofie's ear heals. The chain collar is too big, but the next size smaller is too small. I'm working on locking my right arm, presenting at her nose level so she can see the dowel, being quicker to present once my set up is complete, although Stephanie did say it is OK for me to take my time on set up, especially since I'm finding it difficult to get control of her head with the two collars and the chain being so big. Give her 1-2 seconds to respond before putting pressure EC and don't push her head forward with my left arm as she is already moving her head forward and we only want to correct if she isn't doing something, like opening her mouth and grabbing the dumbbell.
Thanks again Stephanie for coming all the way up. It was nice to meet Tom. He was so helpful. And it was great to see your dogs and to practice on Ava! Thanks for letting the dogs, Chester included, play for a bit. Onward ho!!

  2. And this is vast improvement . Sofie IS moving forward and you ARE locking that right arm in place where Sofie can see the DB.

Progress! Great Progress and I know having Stephanie and Tom coaching with Ava and Maggie as Demo Dogs helped greatly..

An excellent training all in all
