It will take some time until she believes you. I did Ruth's Lesson 6 EXAM today, the 12" retrieves in HIGH and NEW distractions. It took 3 warmup sessions and 6 EC's for her to choose to ignore the cheese, PB, squash with butter, her bowl with kibble in it and fresh bacon, and fo her retrieves.
So we're not looking for the absence of EC's, rather looking for the dog to gain understanding that, always and forever, a refusal to do as commanded WILL result in an EC. EveryTIME.
So look for progress in Sofie's understanding and comprehension.
