A place to learn a new language, the Koehler Method of Dog Training, which is an entire language of communication between owner(s) and their dog. Let the journey begin.
Relax your right arm (no bent elbow) by your right thigh. The turn is correct, just no need to step back. Instead, plant your left foot at the 45 degree angle right, throw out the Safety Loop (the slack) as you push with your right foot and shift your weight from right to left foot while throwing out the slack.
Now, shift your weight from left foot back to the right foot (that hasn't moved), turn and face the direction you started from (so a 180 degree turn), step off on your left foot with a 1/2 step, then take a normal step with our right foot.
ReplyDeleteSofie again with right turn, 7/17/21
