A place to learn a new language, the Koehler Method of Dog Training, which is an entire language of communication between owner(s) and their dog. Let the journey begin.
HI there. Hope this is better. Didn't get to practice yesterday as it was raining all day. Hope you and yours are doing well! Take care, Nancy P.S. I will try to move Sofie's training to behind the school tomorrow or Friday.
WOW!!!! Excellent quiet hands, body and voice! Only once did you move your right foot backwards for a throw (which Sofie rubber necked around to see). Only once did you toss and she went for the retrieve without a command (shows she now knows what is expected of her). And Chester? Poor dog, he sooooo wants to be 'the chosen dog' and be worked by you instead of Sofie getting the joy of 'the work'. LOL.
What I really like in this video is how calm you are and how much attentuon Sofie is giving you. Your throws are GREAT, Sofie patiently waits (most of the time), and her focus on retrieving, despite balls, dogs barking, silly Chester, and a car alarm going off on 1st throw (fabulous distraction!), Sofie is moving away from you confidently and returning promptly to SSIF.
Congratulations on Tram Sofie passing their Lesson 12 EXAM !!
And hearty congrats on becoming another Retrieve Course Graduate🎓.
