Remember the ck cord is there for the handler to pick up the ck cord, back up and pull the dog into the Recall. Especially for a soft dog. We need to equate the new 'pressure ' with a known obedience command and using the ck cord (a known a well understood pressure) to pull the dog gives the learning dog understanding of what to do.
